Claire is a twenty-something, single mom that grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he's asleep) toddler a better life. When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time. With Carter's undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire's panic that her stretch marks and slim to none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after. Warning: contains explicit sex, profanity and enough sarcasm to choke a horse.

I must confess that I almost did not read Seduction and Snacks because I read the title and thought it was gonna focus on food “in the bedroom” and that concept totally makes me want to vomit. Here is where I tell you I kicked myself because I was SO wrong and I am SO glad I picked up this book. It would be a huge mistake to miss out on this saucy literary gem of sweet and sexual hilarity. This book definitely wins first prize for most entertaining book I ever read. I laughed my butt off constantly – thank goodness I read it while I was home alone.

Claire sets out to give up her V-card the common way any typical college-aged virgin would, drunk at a party. Her night starts with beer, moves to the bedroom and rather than ending after the awkwardness of the morning after it results in pregnancy, guaranteeing there will never actually be an end to her one night stand. The icing on the cake, Claire can’t track down her sperm donor and sets out to give birth to her son and raise him on her own. Until, about 4 years after Claire’s son Gavin is born someone shows up in Claire’s hometown that could be a potential game changer…

I need to warn you that you are gonna read the “v” word and “p” word more times then you probably ever have and you might cringe at some one the things that come out of 4 year old Gavin’s mouth. You are also gonna get a vagina metaphor that might turn you off from eating at a certain fast food chain ever again.

I’ve read a few reviews from people who thought that there were too many one liners and that the story line was weak but I must say that I thought the story line was perfect and the one liners made this book what it is.

Tara Sivec is hilarious and I hope she never stops writing.

I give Seduction and Snacks 5 stars.
