My thoughts…

April Showers is a debut novel by author Karli Perrin. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this one. The synopsis sounded really good so I couldn’t wait to dive into it. It’s such a cute contemporary romance. I really enjoyed reading it. If I hadn’t started it so late in the evening I would’ve been able to get through it in one sitting. So good.

The main characters are rich with emotions and I enjoyed getting to know all about them. The chemistry between Isaac & April is strong from the very beginning. I wanted things to work out for them so badly. And while I liked Lukas I felt he wasn’t the one for April. There just didn’t seem to be any spark between them. Not like the sparks she felt with Isaac.

Throughout the story April struggles with her feelings. She likes both Isaac and Lukas for different reasons and has a hard time figuring out which one is the better match for her. I know which one I hope she’d pick, but in order to find out you’ll have to read the book. Nope. No spoilers for you. Trust me it’s so worth it. 🙂

The sexual scenes were pretty much mainstream. They weren’t explicit in nature and had a certain sweetness about them.

April Showers ends with a cliffhanger and I’m going to be going crazy for the next book. I need to know what happens and how things will turn out.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. Ms Perrin has a great writing style and I’m really looking forward to reading the next book as well as her future works. So if your a fan of New Adult Contemporary romance I highly suggest you give April Showers a try. Seriously! You need to read this one. 🙂
