The conclusion to The Pulse Series...

Jessica Roth thought she'd found the one man who could fulfill her in every way. He was gorgeous, controlling, amazing in bed and said everything that she desperately wanted to hear. That was, until she heard him say the one thing she never suspected was true.

Nathan Moore says he has his reasons for doing the things that break her heart. She knows that she can't continue to live in a world where nothing makes sense.

As Jessica weaves her way through a maze of lies, half-truths and coincidences, she begins to see everyone in her world for who they really are. Old friends become the enemy, new friends become allies and the one man she can't be close to, becomes the only person who can give her what she really needs.

They promised each other there would be no complications. It's a promise neither of them can keep.

My thoughts…

Ah… The final installment of the Pulse serial. I have been dying to get my hands on this little nugget. Part three ended with another cliffhanger of course, but it was an unbelievably good cliffhanger. It made me need part four like right now. The wait was sheer torture. Especially considering that I had assumed part three would be the end.

Anyway, I was so excited to start this one. I had to see how things were going to play out. Once I got started I quickly became confused. I had absolutely no idea what was going on and found myself shaking my head while trying to figure things out. At first I thought I’d read it too quickly so I started from the beginning again. Although that helped some I was still a little confused.

The setup at the end of part three had me thinking this final part was going to be epic. Sadly, that wasn’t the case for me. The story didn’t flow smoothly. The author wrote the story in a way that it jumped around a lot. I’d find myself backing up a page before I started re-reading the next chapter again. It was a little confusing. It seemed at times that the author just sort of added unnecessary things in to help herself get to a required word count. Honestly, I’m sort of disappointed with this final part.

Even though this serial has come to an end these characters will be involved in an upcoming serial. At this point I’m not sure if I’ll read it or not.
