A friend’s duty.
Tyler Murphy was an LAPD detective, single and happy—until a near-fatal tragedy crippled his friend, fellow detective Eric Catalano. While Tyler supported Eric, he also became a shoulder for Eric’s wife, Delaney, to lean on. But with one naughty suggestion from Eric, a drunken night with Delaney spilled into erotic abandon. Before it was over, Tyler saw his best friend’s wife as a woman and yearned for more. When Eric struggled to deal with the aftermath, Delaney begged Tyler to leave. Crushed, he fled to Louisiana, hoping to escape his longing for the one woman he could never have again…and unaware of what he’d left behind.
A lover’s desire.
After two years of living with regret, Tyler finds Delaney on his doorstep, her husband having abandoned her long ago. She’s protecting a shocking secret and desperately needs refuge from a stalker determined to see her dead. As they fight to stay alive and catch the killer, they struggle to resolve the guilt of their past pleasures. But they can’t deny that what was once a spark is now a flame burning out of control. To possess Delaney—body and soul—Tyler must heal her pain and thwart the evil that’s a mere breath behind her…
When I first started reading this story I found myself shaking my head. Tyler has been portrayed
as a ladies man in the last book or so. When the only woman he has ever had feelings for shows back up in his life with a child that is his that he had no idea existed Tyler immediately wants to be father of the year.
Also I think the way Del became pregnant was a bit much. I don’t know of too many men who would ask their best friend to have sex with their wife. I understand that Eric is unable to due to his accident but still. If you’ve read any of my reviews then you know that I’m all about the story being realistic.
Once I got over the initial negative feelings for this book and got settled in the plot kept my attention till the very end. I won’t say that there weren’t times when a scene would have me doubting the situations the characters were in, but for the most part I was happy with the way things were progressing.
One of secondary characters in this story is Xander. He’s very intriguing and will be the main character in the next book which is entitled Ours to Love. I can’t wait to read it. Ours to Love will be released May 7th, 2013.
Overall I liked Mine to Hold. There are a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming which made it a more enjoyable read. I’d recommend Mine to Hold to my friends. This has been a really enjoyable series to read.Riding the Night by Jaci Burton

Danger may temporarily bind the three together, but it’s their shared passion that will lead them to the ride of their lives: love.
Where to begin? I loved this book. As with all the books in the Wild Riders series it was a very good read.
Teresa and AJ grew up together and were childhood sweethearts. On her 18th birthday, AJ leaves town because he’s on the road to being a criminal and doesn’t want to mess up Teresa’s life.
Fast forward several years, AJ and Pax are undercover operatives for a government agency call the Wild Riders. All members ride Harleys and are bad boys on the good side of the law. While on vacation, AJ and Pax, make a stop in the town where AJ grew up. Imagine AJ’s surprise when he and Pax visit the local biker bar and see Teresa behind the bar.
After a fight erupts in the bar that leaves one man dead, and Teresa’s brother accused of the murder, Teresa, AJ and Pax find themselves on the road to clear her brother of murder.
The chemistry between Teresa, AJ and Pax sizzles from the beginning and she finds herself attracted to both men however Teresa’s hiding a secret from her past and is reluctant of starting anything with the two.
Riding The Night is a fast paced book. The plot is excellent, the characters are realistic and I couldn’t put it down. I found myself turning page after page to find out what happened next with the trio although I did figure some of it out before getting the confirmation towards the end of the book.
If you’re looking for a good romantic suspense to read, one that features bad boys, a great plot and hot and sizzling romance, then Riding The Night is for you. Be sure to check out the other books in the Wild Riders series.
