REVIEW: Cupcakes and Ink by Helena Hunting

My thoughts… Cupcakes and Ink is a novella written as a prequel to Clipped Wings. I only discovered it after I finished reading book one. While I wouldn’t say it’s mandatory you read it before book one, it does give you some insight of how things started out between the main characters.

My thoughts… Risky starts up where Raw ended. If you read my review for Raw then you know it ended with a big cliffhanger. I’ve been eagerly waiting for this novella to be released. When Joaquin and Anna meet for the first time the sparks fly. There’s an instant attraction that’s very strong between the two. I’m sort of conflicted about their relationship. This series involves a love triangle. I knew this going in, but […]

My thoughts… I had such high hopes for this one. I really did. Sadly though it fell short. There was too much sex and little storyline. I know you’re thinking “Too much sex?” Yes, too much sex. I prefer to have a storyline in my books. One where sex is not the main focus. If I want to read sex, sex, and more sex scenes I’d read erotica for that. That’s pretty much all I […]

Omigosh! I loved this book. I really did, but… Emily. She got on my nerves quite a few times. She really needed to grow a backbone. When it came to Dillon she just rolled with the punches. She never stood up to him and that made me not like her very much. In the end though I started to warm up to her. Dillon was a total douche canoe. To say I didn’t like him […]

My thoughts… This is the first book I’ve read by this author. It was on sale and it sounded like a good read so I snatched it up. I found the plot intriguing and once I started reading it I found that I liked the characters and the setting of the story. Poor Olivia gets cheated on by her fiancé and uproots herself and moves away to another state to start over. I really liked […]

My thoughts… Omigosh! I loved, loved, loved this book. It is amazing! The plot was phenomenal. The characters were rich with emotions. Once I got started I couldn’t out it down. It captivated me from the beginning and held my attention until the very end. This book is highly emotional. I cried snotty tears several times while reading it. It just touched my heart. Aundrea is a 21 year old woman who is battling cancer. […]

My thoughts… Wow! I finished this book up yesterday and had to process my thoughts about it over night. Honestly I can’t really talk about the plot much because I’m afraid anything I tell you about it will give something away. I can say that the plot is what I would consider unique. I’ve not read a book like this one before and I love stories like that. Those that are not overdone. Those that […]

My thoughts… Sadly I had to DNF this book. The plot for this story was really intriguing and I was really excited to start reading it. Not long after I started reading things started to go downhill though. I feel like the relationship between Ashlyn and “Logan” progressed too quickly. Ashlyn put herself at risk with him time and time again. Here we have a young man who has lost his memory, who is accused […]

My thoughts… Wow! I’m not sure where to start. There has been a lot if buzz on twitter about this book. After reading the synopsis I decided to read it. The plot was intriguing and I couldn’t wait to get started. I was hooked right from the beginning and here’s why. This story offers a lot of elements. Within the pages is an intricate web of lies and deceit. I found myself trying to figure […]

REVIEW: Breach by K.I. Lynn

My thoughts… This book contains one of the most hottest if not the hottest prologue’s ever. I literally had to fan myself. The butterfly’s in my tummy were going crazy. Both Delilah and Nathan are broken. Really broken. The attraction between them was really strong from the beginning. The first half of this book I really liked, but after a while the incessant cussing and almost “rape” type sex was meh. It got old. It […]

My review: I absolutely loved this story. It’s a beautiful love story about a 23 year old man who lost his immediate family at a young age and a woman who left her hometown after her father was killed. From the very beginning I was captivated by this book. It captured and held my attention until the very end. I loved both Archer and Bree. I thought they made a beautiful couple and I enjoyed […]

My thoughts… I think this one is by far my favorite out of all the books and novellas so far. This novella takes the reader on a journey. You’ll get to experience Ellie’s take on her and Adams relationship from the time she first met him at a young 14 years old. I love the way this novella is written. It captured my attention on page one and held it until the very end. It’s […]

My thoughts… I loved True which was the first book in this series so I was really excited to read this one. What can I say? I love the Mann brothers. This book was a really fast read for me. It sucked me in and didn’ t let go until the very end. I loved the characters and the storyline. I enjoyed watching Riley and Jessica’ s relationship grow from the beginning. I did get […]

January 10, 2014 0 Comments Christy

My thoughts… Where to begin with this review. While I liked this book for the most part there were a few things that I thought were unrealistic. It also has a “hard limit” element to it as well. Cheating is a “hard limit” for me. I don’ t like it. I don’ t think it’ s necessary to make a story good. It’ s just not a situation I want the characters I read about […]

My thoughts… What a great book. An author I love and a fellow book blogger/reviewer were talking about this book on twitter. They highly recommended it and I decided I would give it a try. The author is new to me so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The plot was quite intriguing and I couldn’t wait to get started. Making Faces focuses on three main characters. I guess I could say there is a […]

My thoughts… Fighting Redemption is a highly emotional read. There were several time’ s I cried while reading it. :/ Another blogger wrote a review on this book and highly suggested it. I decided I would give it a try. This is a new to me author so I wasn’ t familiar with her work. The writing style is a bit different since the author is Australian, but that didn’ t take away from the […]

Review: Until We Burn by Courtney Cole

November 30, 2013 0 Comments Christy

My thoughts… Although this is a short novella I really enjoyed it. Until We Burn gives the reader a little bit of insight into who Dominic Kinkaide is. You’ ll see how he views things through his eyes. I found him to be a very interesting guy. Dominic seems like the typical Hollywood movie star. Rich and good looking he’ s used to getting his way. Which he does, but he also has a secret […]

My thoughts… I’ve read this one once before. I left a four star rating on Goodreads a while back and said “From the beginning until the end I loved everything about this story.” Not much of a review, but it’s straight and to the point. I’d like to add I loved Bliss and Garrick from the beginning. The chemistry they share is apparent from the beginning. Upon meeting in a bar their attraction is so […]

Review: Out of Line by Jen McLaughlin

September 30, 2013 0 Comments Christy

My thoughts… Out of Line is written by a new to me author. A publicist I follow on twitter tweeted about it. It was on sale for 99¢ so I thought I’d give it a try. For the most part I liked it. I thought the main characters were interesting. Things start off a little rocky between the hero and the heroine. Finn almost seems a little stalkerish at first. I can understand why he’s […]

My thoughts… It took me a little bit to get into this one, but after 50 or so pages I found that I could hardly put it down. The plot was really interesting and I enjoyed reading this story. It’s a humorous, sexy, and sometimes emotional read. I admit I teared up a couple times while reading it. I liked both the hero and heroine and most of the secondary characters. The heroine is Alayna. […]

My thoughts… ZOMG! Loved this story. Hard. This is either the fourth or fifth book by Author Jasinda Wilder that I’ve read and it was incredible.
