I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way. Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.

Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.

My thoughts…

Falling Into You is a story about first love, loss, learning to heal, and how to love again. I loved, loved, loved this one. It’s highly emotional and I sobbed many times while reading it. You know the snotty blubbering tears. I just couldn’t help it.

The story starts off so sweet. You get to experience the sweet innocent love between Nell & Kyle. Together they experience many firsts and I was so sad things ended the way they did for them. I knew from the synopsis that Kyle was going to die and even though I knew this it still tugged at my heartstrings.

After Kyle dies the story picks up a couple years later. Now here’s where things are a little iffy. Certain “circumstances” had to happen in order for things to come together with the story. I’m not saying they were unrealistic, but I had to kind of accept how things happened so that Nell & Colten could come together. This is not in any way a negative towards the story. Just something I had to accept. I don’t know. It’s a little hard to explain.:)

Anyway, I think Nell & Colton were good for each other when they reconnected. Both of them were broken. Both of them dealt with issues in unhealthy ways, but they were able to work through their issues together and that’s why I loved them. I think dealing with the past together helped strengthened their bond and I was really happy to see how things turned out for them.

Ms Wilder has a great writing style. I am so happy I took a chance on a new to me author. I can see myself reading more of her works in the future.

Next up is Falling Into Us. I’m starting this one immediately. Falling Into You was such an incredible read and I can’t wait to see what happens between Becca & Jason in the next book.

I’m giving Falling Into Us five stars. I think it’s a story that will stick with me for a long time. I can definitely see myself buying a copy in print for my shelves and those of you who read my reviews regularly know that I don’t say that often.
