The V Card. Virgin. Most of us want to punch that sucker ASAP, and hide the fact until then, but not Cassie Hale. Three years ago she frickin' covered hers in glitter and laminated the thing, proudly telling me that she's waiting for the perfect guy.

So when I see her half naked, tangled together, rolling around on the floor with another stripper, I'm kind of shocked. Okay, that's an understatement. I'm enthralled. I have to know what cracked her picture perfect world and landed her here, and I hope it's something horrible-an event that broke her the way she broke me. Because, that's who Cassie Hale is--the woman who stole my heart and crushed it in her hand.

My thoughts…

OMG Wow! Where to start… I LOVED this book! For reals. I’m a fan of H.M. Wards work and knew that I HAD to read this one. I liked Jonathan in other books and wanted to hear his story. Stripped didn’t disappoint. It held my attention from the beginning until the very end and left me hungry for more. It was a really quick read for me.

I loved Cassie! She has old fashion values and that throws Jonathan off his game. Jonathan is used to having women falling all over him. He’s the heir to his families fortune so of course any and every woman throw themselves at him. Cassie doesn’t though and he sees her as a challenge, but before he knows it, just having sex with her isn’t going to be enough for him. Cassie makes Jonathan want to be worthy of her. I really liked watching their relationship develop. All to soon things end badly and I was heartbroken. Fast forward a few years later and they meet again.

The circumstances they are faced with are very different this time around. Cassie’s not a virgin anymore. She’s also a stripper. This doesn’t compute for Jonathan. On one hand he’s still pissed at her and wants nothing to do with her, but on the other hand he needs to know why things are the way they are. When things are revealed I couldn’t help but feel a little bit heartbroken for Cassie.

Sex. The sexual content plays a small part in this one. What little bit there is is hot, but there isn’t a lot of it. There are other things going on that are the main focus of this story. Yes, I know you’re thinking “She’s a stripper so of course there is sex,” but really it’s not the main focus. That doesn’t make it any less hot though.

Sadly Stripped ends with a cliffhanger *cries* which I was aware of before starting it, but with the way things abruptly ended I just know the second book is going to be awesome as well.

There is one thing I’ve noticed after reading a few of Ms Wards books. It seems all the characters are related in some ways or another. Secondary characters have their own stories in different series and I couldn’t help but feel out of the loop about them a little. I feel that I need to read the other books now to get the whole story on the other characters and don’t miss out on anything. Having said that it’s not required that I read them all. I don’t want you think that you have to read them all to know what’s going on because that’s not the case. I just liked several of the secondary characters and want to get to know they better and read their stories.

Overall, I LOVED Stripped. I very excited about book two and can’t wait to read it!
