Sometimes love burns so hot in your veins that it consumes all rational thought.
That' s why Brock and I never had a chance. I had to start my life over. College was my chance to become someone new. I changed everything about myself to fit in, but one person saw through my facade.

The attraction between Abel and I was undeniable, but I still hadn' t healed from the painful secret I carried around with me. Abel struggled to get me to face my past in order to move forward. In doing so, he revealed a secret of his own; one that changed everything I thought I knew.

A secret that would bring Brock back into my life and force me to face the truth of what really happened the day I lost him

reviewMy thoughts…

What the hell did I just read? I don’t get it. Seriously. I finished this book last night and I’m still trying to figure it all out. I read the synopsis before I signed up for an ARC. The plot seemed interesting to me, but when I started reading it things just went downhill. I think I get where the author was going with this story, but from the description I was under the impression that I was reading a new adult contemporary. I’m not going to go into any more detail than that because I don’t want to give any of the story away and once you get towards the ends things take a really strange turn.

As far as the characters go I didn’t like Delilah or Lie for short. I understand she had a rough childhood and grew up under horrible circumstances, but I just couldn’t like her. She was constantly crying over something.

Abel. I liked him. Can’t say exactly why, but I liked him. I don’t agree with some of the stuff he did, but other than that he seemed likeable.

You know, I’m just going to stop right here. This here story is a complete mindfuck. I feel like I’m missing some very vital information where it’s concerned. Almost as if parts of the story were left out. I’m confused. Things were going on pretty good and them bam *shocker*
