Now that Nara and Ethan are working together to uncover the Corvus' secrets, they' re confident nothing can stop them.

But while they' ve learned to anticipate dark outside forces gunning for them, neither is prepared for the insidious evil that slithers its way into their lives, nor the new challenges that surface so close to home.

Despite all the chaos and turmoil around them, the one constant they can depend on is their devotion and loyalty to each other. But as their relationship moves into deeper territory, sometimes the toughest battles are the ones waged within.

While the hunt for answers unravels more layers in the Corvus world, they also uncover new truths about themselves and their intricate connection to the powerful raven spirit.

When boundaries are suddenly redrawn and control shifts, Ethan and Nara will be forced to make choices that could bring them closer together or rip them apart forever.

You can find my review of Destiny (BKoD #3) here and a short interview I did with P.T. Michelle featured on Scriptland about self-publishing here.

P.T. Michelle knows how to write romance.

I have a problem with guys sprouting wings in books. It’s one of the main reasons why I didn’t get into the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. But P.T. Michelle does wings right! I LOVE the male MC, Ethan, in this series, wings and all. Doesn’t he look delectable on the covers of Destiny and Desire!?

Desire was the perfect follow up to Destiny for me.  All of the books in the BKoD series are  heavy (in a good way) and thought-provoking. But Desire is like the buttercream frosting on this richly layered cake of mythical and paranormal story telling. I think P.T. Michelle gave all of her fans exactly what we have been craving- an installment in this series that intimately focuses on Ethan and Nara’s blossoming relationship while still managing to further along the plot.

Desire picks up exactly where Destiny leaves off- right after Ethan and Nara fully consumate their relationship. This book builds in intensity every moment that Ethan and Nara share with each other. We witness them learn to trust each other more with the strange happenings going on around them and we are privy to Ethan’s thoughts as well as the thoughts of his Master Corvus.

Inara develops a new ability in Desire and it adds to the mystery of what her role is in terms of the Corvus and Ethan’s purpose. Because of this new ability we are able to see more of Drystan. If you have read the previous books in this series, you know what a unique and cool character Drystan is. After Destiny I was afraid that this Parkour loving hunk was gone from the series for good but lo and behold, P.T.  manages to surprise and please me once again by giving him a few moments in this book.

Desire also focuses more on moving along the story with Inara and her father and Ethan and his family. With scenes that are both heart warming and tense, Nara’s dad finds his way back into the family orbit and Ethan gives his parents another chance. I have my fingers crossed that things will turn out for the best.

While Desire was more focused on growing relationships than growing the plot, it’s still full of action and suspense. P.T. Michelle zooms in on different aspects of the character’s lives in this book and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hardcore BKoD fans will love this book and the depth it adds to Ethan and Inara’s journey together. The romance was developed beautifully and the tender moments between them are infused with passion and of course, DESIRE. The ending of this book left off with the perfect amount of tension. I’ll be climbing the walls until the next book is released.
