My cock noticed her before I did.
She came out of nowhere.
Completely unexpected.

And I let her in…unwillingly.
But she gave me no choice.
She sledgehammered my thick walls, leaving me charmed by her knowledge, and seduced by her beauty.

I was captivated.

And now…it was about to tumble down in a tsunami of lies.
Uncertainty riveted my core as my anger spread…she was impossible to forget.
After all, she was still my intern.

Forbidden.
Lust.
Betrayal.

I felt all of those things for her at once. But only one would destroy us.

My thoughts…

Picking up right where Vol 1 left off, the story keeps getting more interesting. I can kind of see where it’s all going, but am unsure on a few things. I devoured this volume. Couldn’t put it down. The sex was really hot, well written, and plentiful.

The chemistry these two share is really strong though at times I sort of found myself wondering how Ceci could pull off portraying a woman older then herself. As I said in my review for the first volume. She is at times very naive.

Overall though I’m starting to like her and hope she ends up getting both the answers she’s looking for as well as Bentley because he’s hawt! Can’t wait for Volume 3.

She’s sexy, fierce, and a loud-mouthed know-it-all…and she’s completely off limits.

Cecilia isn’t your typical college student. Hell, she isn’t a college student at all, but that doesn’t stop her from applying for one of the biggest and prestigious enterprises in the Midwest.

She wants it. She takes it.
She doesn’t let anything get in her way when it comes to finding out the truth.

When Bentley Leighton, soon-to-be CEO of Leighton Enterprises, meets “Ceci,” he’s instantly impressed. He doesn’t have time to train a new intern. However, when he sees her that first day, his intentions begin to change.

He’s the boss. She’s the intern.
Nothing can happen. It’s against the company rules.

Then again, rules were made to be broken.

What starts as innocent flirting becomes raveled up into so much more—secrets, lies, deceit.

*The Intern is a three-part romantic suspense serial.*
Not suitable for readers under 18.

My thoughts…

Normally I don’t read serials. I’m an impatient girl. Having said that, this serial was recommended to me and I figured I’d go ahead and give it a try.

I liked it for the most part. I thought the plot was intriguing and the characters were interesting. Although the heroine sort of grated on my nerves at times. For 18 years old she’s both mature in some ways and naive in others. I was conflicted about her. There was just something about her that I didn’t like. The hero was pretty hot though. I liked him a lot.

Overall my thoughts on this one are that it’s a fast enjoyable read. I wished it had been longer, but considering its a serial the length is about right. The cliffhanger was a pretty good one and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
