He was lost and alone. Then he found her.
And the future seemed more fragile than ever.As a child, Landon Lucas Maxfield believed his life was perfect and looked forward to a future filled with promise — until tragedy tore his family apart and made him doubt everything he ever believed.
All he wanted was to leave the past behind. When he met Jacqueline Wallace, his desire to be everything she needed came so easy…
As easy as it could be for a man who learned that the soul is breakable and that everything you hoped for could be ripped away in a heartbeat.
O.M.G. I dare say I loved Breakable even more than Easy and that’s saying a lot because I really loved Easy. This book was totally amazeballs. For reals. I absolutely love Lucas! He is one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. There is just something about him. I can’t quite put my finger on it. He’s just real.
Breakable is not a re-telling of Easy per say. It’s a companion novel and is told from Lucas’s POV. It switches back in forth in time between current day and before his college years. As a reader you will gain insight on how things were for him after his mother was murdered. You’ll get a firsthand account of how these things effected him growing up.
This story is beautifully written and had me experiencing all sorts of emotions. I laughed, cried, got mad, and was totally overjoyed with the ending. I already loved these characters and this book made me love them even more.
I have to tell you that Breakable is even hotter than Easy. The scenes in this one were well written, plentiful, and hot! *fans self* There are far more smexy times in this book.
Overall, Breakable is definitely one of my favorite reads so far this year. If you loved Easy you’re in for a treat with Breakable. As I said before… This book is amazeballs. You have to read it!!!
