Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, Bliss Edwards decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible - a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.
My thoughts…
I’ve read this one once before. I left a four star rating on Goodreads a while back and said “From the beginning until the end I loved everything about this story.” Not much of a review, but it’s straight and to the point.
I’d like to add I loved Bliss and Garrick from the beginning. The chemistry they share is apparent from the beginning. Upon meeting in a bar their attraction is so strong that Bliss decides she wants to go home with Garrick. Did I mention the fact that she’s a virgin? See I told you it was strong. He’s also British so I’m thinking that accent made him more appealing. 🙂
I thought the secondary characters within this one were all interesting and am happy that some of them are getting their own books. I’m looking forward to reading them soon.
Losing It is quite funny in places. Especially when Hamlet comes into play.
Losing It is also a very quick read. At just over 200 pages I was able to finish it in almost one sitting. I’m thinking if I hadn’t started it so late in the day I would have.
The plot is quite good. From the beginning to the very end it held my attention. I didn’t find myself skimming at all.
Up next is a novella entitled Keeping Her. The main characters are again Bliss and Garrick.
Overall, Losing It is a great new adult read. I loved it!
