Wow! I’m not sure where to start. There has been a lot if buzz on twitter about this book. After reading the synopsis I decided to read it. The plot was intriguing and I couldn’t wait to get started. I was hooked right from the beginning and here’s why. This story offers a lot of elements. Within the pages is an intricate web of lies and deceit. I found myself trying to figure out what was happening and what would happen next. I was also trying to figure out who was responsible for certain things. There were times I was angry and times where I cried while reading this story. To say its highly emotional is an understatement. There were just so many twists and turns. I truly enjoyed trying to figure it all out.
I loved Sloane and felt so bad for her. Having to go through what she did at such a young age was devastating. At first I wasn’t sure how Killian could actually “buy” her, but I went along with it. After all Sloane was over the age of eighteen.
Killian was a first class ass at the beginning. He was mean, hateful, and treated Sloane horribly. I didn’t like him yet there was something mysterious about him that drew me in.
I liked some of the secondary characters and hated others. Celine which is Sloane’s aunt was a first class bitch. I hated her. She was evil.
The sexual scenes were really hot. Like smokin hot. I had to fan myself while reading this one. Also, finally an author who let’s the heroine voice her true feelings upon losing her virginity. It’s not all sugar-coated. Kudos to Ms Fox for being real.
Overall, I loved this book. Once I reached the end and had the whole picture I came to one conclusion and that is Ms Fox is very clever. The tale she spun is truly unique, intriguing, suspenseful, and highly enjoyable. Be sure to give this one a try. It’s worth it!
