Three months touring Europe.
Romantic. Dazzling. Unforgettable.
The trip of a lifetime. But some lifetimes are shorter...
We couldn' t have known it would work out this way.
No one could. No one could' ve guessed that something so beautiful could be so tragic. But it is tragic.
Yet so, so beautiful.
That' s what sacrifice is—beauty and tragedy.
It' s pain and suffering for something or someone you love. And this is the ultimate sacrifice.
One stunning act of true love. This is our story.
Our true love story.
Hello fellow bookworm,
I hope you’re having a good day. I’m not sure how often you read, but I just finished a book called “The Empty Jar.” I can’t wait to tell you about it.
I think you will enjoy reading it. It is written by M. Leighton. She sent me an advanced copy before it was released so I could read and review it. She’s written several books. Most of which are racy romance, but this book is not at all racy. It’s not a romance per say. It is a love story. One that is beautifully written, emotionally heartbreaking at times, and real. One that I hope you’ll read. One that I think you’ll enjoy all the same because you’ll come out on the other side better for it.
It’s not an easy read at times, but again it is real and I am so thankful I read it. You see, Michelle, lost her father around the time I lost mine. In fact, her father died of stage IV cancer a couple weeks before my dad passed away. I’m not sure if it’s because of her personal experience with losing a father that had me drawn to this story. I could relate with much of the book and the emotional journey the characters were faced it. It is fictional, but has a truth to it that is all too real. To say I cried is an understatement. I sobbed. Like snotty tears sobbed. The note from Michelle at the end of the book made me sob too.
Michelle is an amazing person. I’ve chatted with her off and on over the last few years and I’ve never read one tweet or one Facebook post where she has ever said anything remotely negative about anyone. Even at times where some went out of their way to be negative and downright rude and hurtful to her. She is definitely a genuine person. The world needs more people like her in it.
So in closing, again, I hope you’ll take the time to read this story. Once you start reading you won’t want to put it down. You’ll be caught up in Lena & Danny’s story. A love story.
