They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.
Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she' s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That' s why she' s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she' s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she' d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.
But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn' t something she' d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.
My thoughts…
Worth Forgiving is the final book in the MMA Fighter series by Vi Keeland. I love this series so much!!! I was both looking forward too and also feeling a bit melancholy about the release of this book.
I’ve felt so many emotions while reading this series. I’ve come to love each and every hero. Ms Keeland has a unique writing style and her stories always draw me in from the very first page. Worth Forgiving was no exception.
Jax was a secondary character in book two. Not too many details were given about him. The details that were given piqued my interest though and I knew I had to read his story. He’s also a fighter like the two previous heroes. Although he doesn’t actually fight for money. It’s more of a hobby until he meets Lily.
Lily is new to the series. Right from the beginning I loved her. She was really interesting. She’s half owner of a family owned multiple gym business that trains fighters. She’s had a rough way to go since her father died. She lost her mother at a young age and her father became her everything.
The chemistry between Jax & Lily is strong from the beginning. Although Lily is reluctant to start anything up with Jax, she eventually gives in and things get really hot. Speaking of getting hot, the sex scenes are hot, well written, and plentiful. Ms Keeland is very descriptive with her sexual scenes. I had to fan myself a time or two.
There were a few things I found predictable within the pages of this book, but they didn’t take away from the story.
Overall, I loved Worth Forgiving. I loved how the author ended the series. She included each of the main characters from the previous books into the ending and after finishing up this book I felt satisfied with how things turned out.
If you haven’t read this series yet I highly suggest you do. It’s one of my favorites.
