I'm Scarlett Ryan.

Yes, THAT Scarlett Ryan.

I live an extraordinary life: millionaire rock star, owner of exotic cars, pictures of me in every magazine, millions of fans, and a name that is recognized world wide. It's supposed to be my dream come true. But, my life IS a fantasy, and I want real. I want exciting. I want... NORMAL. So, I moved from California to Florida, hoping to obtain some normalcy. Instead I find...

Stephan Montgomery.

He's an arrogant jerk. Seriously, I hate him. I swear if he tells me one more blonde joke, I will punch him... again... Unfortunately I can't stop thinking about him, or his gorgeous green eyes. Trust me, I know that he's bad for me. If only my heart would listen.

I also find out that my parents have kept a LIFE CHANGING secret from me. I need to know the truth.

The harder I strive for normal, the stranger things seem to get.

Jaded is book 1 of the Rock Star trilogy.

My thoughts…

Wow! What a great book. This is the first one by Author Mercy Amare that I have read and I really enjoyed it. It sucked me in from page one and kept my attention and had me turning page after page to see what would happen next. I actually read this baby in a little under 7 hours! I normally don’t read a book in one day. It usually takes me two and in some cases up to three. Just really depends on the book. Anyway, here are my thoughts on Jaded…

At first I thought Scarlett Ryan was a bit conceited but then I understood her reasons for acting the way she did some of the time. I really liked her. I enjoyed getting to know her and stepping into her world.

Her love interest, Stephan is a hottie. I loved his snarky attitude from the beginning. He comes off with the whole bad boy image, but really he’s just a great guy. And I think he’s perfect for Scarlett.

Neither of them have ever been in love. Scarlett has technically never had a boyfriend. Sure she’s been with guys before, but she’s never been in an actual relationship with one. The chemistry these two share is amazing and I enjoyed their playful banter.

There isn’t any sexual scenes within this book. Oh there is a lot of flirting and some kissing, but nothing sexual and that’s okay because I think things will progress in subsequent books. At least that’s what I’m hoping. Both of these characters are of age so it shouldn’t be a problem. *grin*

Jaded was a really fast paced book for me. The entire book takes place in just over a month or so but there was something new constantly happening and it made for a really enjoyable read.

It ends with a cliffhanger and I’m starting the next book right after I finish up this review. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
