  2. Lexi Cook

    Good morning,

My name is Lexi Cook, a self-published author requesting a review. It’s my debut novel, a YA Urban Fantasy book. I plan to put it up for preorder in August and publish it in mid-October(17th). I can send an epub or Mobi file whenever you would be ready to review if you approve. That said, I will dive into more details about my book

A Virtue’s Calling (standalone) follows the tale of two people with the same magical gift, although from different timelines. In the past, Choska is next in line to inherit the Virtue of the Sea, one of two divine powers given by their god. With possession of this, Choska must try to kill the two Hazen’s beasts that have been terrorizing their lands for centuries. Although seen as a simple task at face value, no Virtue holder has been able to. With little hope and many against his wishes to risk his life, the tribes are torn on how to function. Later seeing how the Virtues have been misused, the tribes decide to seal the powers forever.

A thousand years later, Marie is on a beach in her hometown when she starts hearing voices, calling her to go to the ocean. By doing so, she accidentally claims the Virtue of the Sea, meeting Choska in her dreams right after. Neither is certain why she has the Virtue or who the voice was, but they know one thing–she needs to figure out her destiny and fight for it. With help from past classmates and unlikely friendships, she charges forward in the discovery of her fate. The book showcases characters with different backgrounds and consists of diversity within the small cast. There is also a small romance subplot in the story. There are action scenes, but none would be considered full-on gore.

Why I think you will like this book: Like mentioned that you liked on this blog, the book features, smart leads, engaging action scenes, romantic subplots, and magic that keeps you on your toes

If you find this book interesting, I would gladly give you a copy of the file. I am in no rush to get this review but I would be happy to receive one from you around the time it is published. Nevertheless, I hope to be able to communicate with you soon. If you need any additional information, let me know. If you would like an excerpt or a picture of my book cover, I can do that too

    Have a great day!
