Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.
Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.
My thoughts…
Finally! We get to hear Remy’s side of the story. I love reading books from the heroes POV. I like being able to get into their head and experience things from their perspective. After having read the first two books in this series I know how the story goes. Having said that, in this story you can get a feel for Remy in a different light.
While the majority of this story highlights the high points in both Real and Mine, you also get a sense of what Remy’s feeling as they’re about to get married. It switches back and forth between the past and present.
I think Ms Evans did a great job writing this one. Even though I’ve read the two previous books and I know what happens, the story kept and held my attention until the very end. Speaking of the end… The final sexual scene is really hot. You’ll sure to be fanning yourself.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this one. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series which is entitled Ripped and will be Brooke’s friend, Pandora’s story.
