Turner Campbell is an asshole.
I f*cking hate him.
But I can't get enough either.
He sings like an angel and f*cks like a devil.
If I could, I'd run away and never look back because to tell you the truth, I think this man might be the death of me.

***

Naomi Knox is a bitch.
I can't f*cking stand her.
But I can't stop thinking about her either.
She looks like an angel and plays like a devil.
If I could, I'd f*ck her good and forget all about her, but to tell you the truth, I think this woman might be my last saving grace.

My thoughts…

Where to even begin with this train wreck. I almost DNF’d this book several different times. If it hadn’t been for the actual storyline being “interesting” I probably would have sooner. Finally though I had enough and couldn’t waste anymore time on it. And that’s exactly how I feel. That I not only wasted time on this book but also my money on it.

Every other word is a cuss word. I’m not lying. I’m not a prude. Truly I am not, but geeze is it necessary to say Fuck, Goddamn, Jesus Christ, Asshole and a variety of other cuss words over and over to make a story good? I’ve read plenty of “rock star” themed books that didn’t have excessive cussing that were five star reads. I don’t get it.

Along with excessive use of cuss words is excessive drug use. Apparently if a character is a “rock star” or is a “groupie, roadie or band member” then they have to constantly abuse drugs. That I could ALMOST see. Almost.

What truly made me throw in the towel is the fact that the hero and heroine decide to have sex on a dirty bathroom floor. Where there is not only bits of soggy toilet paper on the floor but discarded tampon wrappers as well. Seriously? Is this author for real? If you’re going to have sex in a bathroom it’d be wise to at least go at it up against the wall ffs.

I honestly can’t recommend this book. The only positive I have about it is the fact that the actual storyline itself is pretty good. However, the way in which it is written is lacking. It takes more than a pretty cover and excessive use of cuss words to make a story a good one.

If you like stories that offer excessive cussing, drug use, and a hero that thinks laying the heroine down on a dirty bathroom floor is acceptable then this one should be right up your alley.
